French Toast

French toast is something simple that you can make in the mornings. One of the earliest versions of French toast has been traced back to the Roman Empire. The name "French toast" was first used in the 17th century in England. The recipe and name were brought to America by early settlers. In France the dish is called "pain Perdue" meaning "lost bread".
To make French toast you'll need the following ingredients:
1 egg
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon ground
1/4 cup of milk
4 slices of bread

First you need to beat the egg, vanilla, and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Then you need to stir in the milk. Dip the bread in the egg mixture turning to coat both sides evenly. cook bread slices on lightly greased nonstick griddle or skillet on medium heat until brown on both sides.
