Apple crisp

The earliest reference to apple crisp in print occurs in 1924 with a recipe in the Everbody's Cook Book : A Comprehensive Manual of Home Cookery. Apple crisp can be quick to make with instant vanilla pudding and a cranberry- pecan granola mix. The ingredients you need for this quick recipe is :
5 tart apples, peeled, sliced (about 6 cups)
1 pkg of jello flavor
1/4 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of water
3 tbsp of butter
1.5 cup of cranberry- pecan granola
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Toss apples with the next three ingredients in a large bowl. Stir in water. Spoon this into 1.5 qt baking dish. Microwave butter in medium microwavable bowl on high for 30 seconds. Stir in granola. Spoon this over Apple mixture. Bake for 50 minutes or until apples are tender.
